Your Role
To maintain the facility with environmental-friendly and safe workplace by making sure EH&S and BSP program in place and ensure that production fulfills customers’ request within acceptable delivery deadline by meeting quality standards and manufacturing cost target.
Due to the nature of the position a high level of understanding of EH&SQ and manufacturing fundamental knowledge, effective cost management skill applied to NF3 plant operation as well as knowledge of Merck internal systems, plant process and procedures.
Operations
- Develop operating strategies to support Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain operating procedure integrity.
- Assist with operator training.
- Implement production plan.
- Infrastructure management (utilities, waste treatment, etc)
- Support shut-down planning.
- Support start – up and performance test activities
- Management of inventory (raw material)
Troubleshooting
- Lead plant troubleshooting
- Manage contractors and act as Technical Liaison during troubleshooting efforts.
Reliability
- Control platform maintenance (DCS, PLC, etc)
- In-kind equipment replacement
- Identify and resolve equipment issues (attainment tracking and support)
Cost Reduction / Productivity
- Productivity improvements pertaining to day-to-day operations (quality, consistency, reliability, etc)
- Data management - Daily production logging/tracking in order to sustain productivity efforts.
- Provide monthly data updates to Plant Process Engineering
- Participate in focused improvement events.
Quality
- Customer support as requested.
- Statistical Product Control SPC/SQC Statistical Quality Control monitoring and correction
- Assist in customer complaint investigations as requested.
- eMOC initiation and follow up
Business Support
- Support customer visits
- Support contingency planning activities.
- Support supplier assessments
- Interface with Supply Chain on container issues
- Support Sourcing in evaluating new raw materials.
Who You Are
- Fresh graduate ~ 5 years of production engineer experience in oil, gas, or chemistry-related industry (신입 지원 가능)
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering fields or related fields.
- Good English and interpersonal relationship ability are critical for the role.
- Self-motivated initiative in abundance.
